"Crazy Asian Mother" video

I've seen that...and it isn't THAT funny, I don't know why Asians post that

Heh.... I'm half asian (filipino)....and yeah....doesn't happen to me.

well we all know that filipino isn't really asian.

Hahaha. I'm half Filipino. So what are we then? Pacific Islanders? Yeah, I think that's it.

haha that was funny

"We not like those white people, we don't have time out... we have knock out"

HAHAHA that was funny

That reminded me of an episode like that with my parents. I got one B+ in high school (in AP Calc BC, since I suck at math) and my dad FREAKED out...he tried to write off his nervous breakdown over my grades as my fault for "not trying my best," but whatever...He said, and I quote - "I'm not mad you got a B. I'm just mad you're not doing your best."

And my parents claim they're not asian parents. Psh. Whatever.

Haha
I got a B this year in Calc and my parents said good job.

HAHAHAHHA awsome.

Does anyone know where that guy goes to HS/college?

Filipinos are mostly malay (like indonesia, malaysia, and stuff), with some chinese. Some people have smaller parts of Indian, Japanese, and Spanish (like me) since the Philippines was a major trading post, then colony, back in the day....

Pacific Islander wouldn't be correct.

i am asian and can definitely relate to that.

the generation gap causes havoc.

That was funny.

I'm not Asian, but my parents can be like that!
Thanks for posting that!

Haha I remember when I would bring home a B+ and my dad would say:

"B?! B stands for burgers! DO YOU WANT TO FLIP BURGERS when you grow up?!"

That's funny...burgers. My mom says she doesn't care, then once when I almost got a B she was like "OMG..why? Its not all A's anymore..omg"

I'm not Asian but I've heard that's how Asian parents are, but do mothers actually make their kids cry?

lil weezy--Yes, some Asian parents do make their kids cry. It really depends on the adopted tradition.

lil weezy: It depends on the kid and how harsh the parent is in expressing his/her frustation over the grade(s).

psh if my mom became as mild as that video i'd be thanking god for a miracle. rofl. its only just the tip of the iceberg, ppl..."crazy-asian-mothers" are experts trained in the art of mental ninjitsu that will destroy your powers to reason logically when in a report card's presence, or your ability to speak b/c you will literally watch speechless as she drags 16 years of skeletons out of the closet and slap you silly with them.

and then you'll thank her. because you've already forgotten your identity. she's called you a "stupid rice bun" so many times you start to think maybe you are a rice bun, maybe you're a rice bun that doesn't deserve to be in america with all the other smart rice buns are that play cello and won intel and speak fluent LATIN...it's a lifechanging experience, trsut me.

wendyling that's quite frightening. Though asian parents are masters at making you feel like a total failure when you screw up the slightest bit. They also constantly compare you to other people's kids that are much much better than you.
