<p>Son is applying to CMU RD. He will be a creative writing major if accepted. I'm interested in student experiences. He's had 2 of his original plays performed at his high school and a third will be performed this spring. He's been accepted to BARD and Brandeis which also have creative writing majors. How many students at CMU major in creative writing?</p>
<p>Most students have majors in the technical fields but the creative writing major here is top notch and should definitely be picked over both Bard or Brandeis. </p>
<p>The good thing is that CMU's prestige and career center (ranked #2) is very impressive and can take your son wherever he wants to go as long as he doesn't fool around.</p>
<p>CMU also offers double majoring to be very easy and you are allowed to take classes in other majors without many restrictions. I know a current freshman who is doing a creative writing and computer science double major.</p>
