In no way are you limiting yourself by tackling a liberal arts major by itself. Should you decide against the Creative Premedical Scholars program in favor of other med schools, there is from nothing that will stop you getting into another great medical school. </p>
<p>It will not limit you on the MCAT, as liberal art majors, particularly philosophy majors and certain humanities, tend to do very well and usually even better than the cookie cutter biology major on the MCAT. The MCAT is a measure of basic science skills attained through the premed core classes, not a measure of the number of science classes you’ve taken. Also, there has been a growing desire for more varied applicants to Medical Schools, as deans are recognizing the merits of a humanities education and the social and creative skills developed through it.</p>
