<p>I am a prospective Northwestern University student and I am extremely interested in their Creative Writing for the Media Certificate. How difficult is it to get into this program? I know they only accept 12 students every year...is it extremely competitive?</p>
<p>My D is just starting as a Freshman at NU and is also extremely interested in this cert. She has heard all sorts of wonderful things about it. She also heard it was very competitive, so she asked her advisor how to best position herself for the cert, and he advised her on specific courses she ought to take, which she’ll be starting next term. You apply at the end of Sophomore year. I don’t know what percentage are admitted, however. I guess all she can do is do her best and stay focused.</p>
