I'm a junior in high school and I'm trying to figure out what road I'm going to be taking in college. I've always wanted to do something in the Criminal Justice field. But then my family said it's not safe. And so I changed my mind into being an elementary school teach. But I realized I'm very stern and I don't have a teachers mentality. I would be too mean to children. I have more of a cops mentality. Also, though, you don't exactly need a B.A. in Criminal Justice to become a cop. I was looking more into being an investigator after having years behind me as a cop. But what could I major and minor in? I'm wonderful in mathematics. I was also looking into majoring or having a minor in mathematics, because I'm in honors PreCalculus as a junior. I don't know. And don't recommend accounting or lawyer or anything like that. I'm not interested.

Getting a criminal justice degree doesn’t mean that you have to become a police officer. Check out [this website](<a href=“Decommissioned Products | McGraw Hill”>Decommissioned Products | McGraw Hill) to see what else you can do with a criminal justice degree. There are options such as private investigator, park ranger, crime prevention specialist, insurance fraud investigator, Highway Patrol Officer and more that wouldn’t put you in severe danger on a daily basis but would still allow you to use your stern mentality in a positive way.
