Crisler Arena...Help please

My father and I are going up for the Iowa game on the 30th of January.

I've started to look for tickets but I'm having trouble understanding the layout of the arena.

I see that there are 2 levels, the lower Blue level and the upper Gold level.

Any general help understanding the layout of the arena would be greatly appreciated.

Some of my general quesitons include,

I see that the numbering of the sections is really weird. Is it random and doesnt mean anything or is there some signifigence or reason that I should be aware of when I purchase tickets?

How many rows are approx in the Blue sections and the Gold sections, and where does the numbering begin?

Are only the lower level Blue seats good seats, or is some upper level Gold seats good too.

Thanks for all of the help in advance!

first off, it’s not a two deck stadium. there is basically just a walk way that seperates maize and clue. for te other stuff just look at pictures and a seating chart.

There is actually a huge difference between Blue and Gold. Since the student section has quadrupled since last year, the whole Blue is basically half covered with students. The seats in Blue and Gold show a dramatic difference, with obviously, the Blue showing the game more close up and you will feel really engaged. The Gold is kind of far away…

yeah true, in a way it is like the big house, the further up you are, the farther away you are from the game. upper decks compensate for that, but no such luxury at crisler

At least in Crisler you’ve got actual chairs with armrests so you don’t have to worry about getting your seat taken over by the people next to you.

thanks guys
