Critical Reading and Vocab

I got a 590 on my Critical Reading in March, and would like to bring that up. I have a sub-par vocab and I've been browsing the site and you guys put high value on vocab. Can you suggest a list that I should order/study?

Also, what are the best ways to Study for Critical Reading? Just doing passage after passage out of the blue book or anything in particular?

JR

Rather than flat out studying vocab (which I did by the way) I think a better and less painful use of your time would be to read the first page of the New York Times every day and then look up any words you don't know. That way, you learn the words in context which is very helpful and more useful IMO than memorizing random words. I couldn't believe how many words I had studied showed up.

BigMan: do you mean that lots of the NYT words showed up? Or lots of SAT words?
