Critical Reading December 2008 Test Version 2: Korean Mother, Nature, etc.

jextelox: i put privacy is hard to maintain in the contemporary world... but i'm not sure.
anyone know for sure?

ya thats what i put what waas the last answer for CR

OMG and im so worried about all those stray marks that got "stamped" onto my paper because i pressed them on eachother...i mean i saw one and it was round and looked like a black circle that one would bubble (it was actually clearly visible)

UNDERMINE Privacy

and then i said one was general, but the other ws something.. i dont remember

anyone else get undermine...still holding ont o hope lol

I said one criticized and the other generally showed the positive effects.
passage 2 did identify all the positive aspects

i think i put that mirage.

i'm pretty sure i thought too much on the FIRST question which I put "Economic something" instead of "privacy is hard to maintain" but i remember searching up BOTH passages extensively and NEVER found clear hard evidence that Passage 1 or 2 said PRIVACY is hard to maintain (they were offering solutions, but never said that it's going to be HARD to maintain privacy), however both of them talked about economics....i dunno, i never saw a sentence that said taking all these precautions would be hard...

who were they referring toabout the poison?

big business

yeah, big businesses, no other possible choice

for the navigation one was it "dilator"
and "admiration for his work" the other good ones had liek for writing and stuff and he never did that

also

"catastrophic events are memeorable"

how were the kids reacting to navigation?

when they spun the globe or w.e

i put dilatory (or tending to delay) cuz they kept testing the compass over and over

hopeful ceo DEFINETely FLEETING PASSIONS. 100% SURE. SORRY CPAS LOCK.

i didn't put "catastrophic events are memorable"
... what were the other choices?

fleeting interest to GLOBE + KIDS problem.

agreed, fleeting interest

agreed with fleeting interest and dilatory

is this passage confirmed to be not experimental?

I didn't choose catastrophic events are memorable- I put that navigation is still just as important. They ONLY wanted you to look at "even now."

This section was not experimental.

yea thats what i got

what is the authors reaction to hayward (the person who found longitude)
i put "admiration for his work"

the catastropic one was about

ships, like now, ...then talks about a disaster

and it asked what does the "like now imply

choices were like british sitll are leading shipbuilder
navigational things used today were foundedin the past
catastropic events are highly memorable

wait a choice was navigation is still important (i didnt even see that choice)

bob, admiration was correct. i think. the other choice "Affection" seemed almost the same...and the answer WAS "navigation is still important."
