critical reading mistakes

so i've been practing the critical reading section for about 3-4 weeks. i go over the explanations for the questions i got wrong, and i move on to my next test. the problem is, i keep on making the same mistake over and over. i say to myself that i wont make the same mistake again, but when the next test comes, i make the same careless thing again. And when i look back at it, most of my mistakes are careless and I would've gotten it right if i thought about it more skilfully. how can i get better at this? I'm getting frusturated with all these wrong answers and i just cant seem to do better

somebody help!

someone please reply

On your practice tests, just find out which questions you got wrong and then try to figure out what you did wrong before you read the explanation. The reason you got it wrong will sink in better that way.

Yes, most mistakes are careless. That's how the SAT works. You have to remember, part of it is a measure of how many careless mistakes you make. There's a reason why few people get perfect scores.

Apart from more practice (and the technique I suggested), I can't really see any other way. Maybe you're getting the score you should, and you just have to accept it.

Go slowly if you have enough time and explain to yourself why the answer you chose is right and why the others arn't.

i refuse to accept my current score

thansk for the replies
