Does anyone know about CRO selection and training (How long training lasts, and where CRO’s are stationed and so forth)? Any info would be appreciated.

We had a thread about this not too long ago, let me see if I can dig it up.

Here we go: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/air-force-academy-colorado-springs/490797-after-academy.html

Another great site for CRO info is Specialtactics.com. I'd imagine that most would be stationed at Hurlburt Field, FL (HQ of Spec Ops Command) with the 720th Special Tactics Group.

Expect to be doing a LOT of extra PT for "screeners" at USAFA.

Definately check out TE's website Specialtactics.com it is the best source of up to date info on tryouts, training, and the life of ST. CROs are stationed all over the world, not just at operational units. If you are at an operational unit it doesn't really matter where it is because you probably won't be there very often. Also, a CRO is not the same as a SeAL team officer, look into it. It would still be an awsome job and I know several enlisted guys that made the move from PJ to CRO.

Another website run by PJ's is this blog - pjcountry - U.S. Air Force Pararescue it is an unfiltered look into the brains of some guys who are doing the mission.
