Cross Country State Champions, something to include?

<p>If my cross country team wins the state championships, is this something to include?</p>

<p>I am not a Top 7 runner. Only the Top 7 on each team run in the state meet. However, during the whole season we are a tight-knit team and it's truly a team effort, no matter where you are in the rankings. I'm a good runner (maybe 11th out of 30 guys) but not good enough to be able to run in the state meet.</p>

<p>But since the entire season was a team effort, would it be okay to include "Cross Country State Champions" or something like that under awards?</p>

<p>Also, I’m planning to write my essay about running and how it has affected me, so I feel like our team winning states is a major thing for the whole team even though it was only 7 guys that physically ran in that particular meet.</p>
