Cruise and other info

I keep hearing about a cruise during orientation and I swear I didn’t get any info on that; which also makes me worry that there was other info in that packet that I’m also missing. What else was there, when did you receive it, and what night is the cruise? Thanks for the help!

there's a cruise....but it costs $ and it's optional. it's for parents too.

It was on the back of the orientation leaflet--you're supposed to send a check for $20 but you can also buy tickets on orientation day Aug 27 on campus. I don't think it's for parents--because they'd have to be hanging around in Boston after the 27th to take part and the kids wouldn't want them there anyway!

yeah, as pye said, the cruise is definitely not for parents.

nearly every first-year goes on the cruise, so i would absolutely sign-up for it.

It's a 3 hour "dance" cruise around Boston harbor. I had a fun time on mine except I got a little sick.

i would suggest going, the majority of first-years do go, and so do the OLs (Orientation Leaders). it's really crowded in the dance area, but it's a good way to meet/mingle with people.
