Hi,
I was looking through UMD’s website, and I was wondering, what’s the difference between the Computer Science Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Cyber Security(http://undergrad.cs.umd.edu/degree-requirements-cs-major) and the ACES cyber security LLP? http://www.aces.umd.edu/
ACES is LLP only available for Honors College students that get admitted to it. It’s a select group of people and a very selective process to get into it. (I know that this year, they admitted only 70 students into our program.)
The computer science BS degree with a cybersecurity specialization is open to all computer science majors. You don’t have to apply for that. You can just decide to take the upper-level courses that lead fall under that specialization’s courses.
Let me know if you have any other questions (especially about ACES!)
