I love everything about Computer Science. I have taken a few entry level classes online for fun.
But I also have a passion for TV/Movies, I am an aspiring stand up comedian/actor and want to make it in show business. But I know a film major isn't a good idea. So I ask, can I land any jobs in TV/Movie industry with CS major + Film minor?

It’s possible. There are many well-known actors who did not have a film major to be successful. It’s really the talent you have and the connections you make that get you the jobs. Perhaps you can double major.

And from my knowledge, a theater major/minor is more suited for actors than a film major, which focuses on the technicalities of movies.

When it comes to film making, computer science can be used to make programs for editing, special effects, animation, etc. With your CS major you can enter the industry through there and find your way with acting.

I can’t think of any specific roles in live action, but it’s definitely a decent background for visual effects and cg and maybe game jobs. Game and animation studios are always using internal employees for scratch and temp voices so you may be able to pursue both your passions there.
