CS Schools, NEED OPINIONS

So I’ve applied to 7 schools so far (Pitt, Rutgers, Penn State, Stevens, NJIT, Umass-Amherst, and Stony Brook) I’m just wondering on your spin of their CS department. I hope to focus on Cyber/Network Security so I picked schools that have tracks or concentrations on that.

Pitt - ACCEPTED
Rutgers - ACCEPTED
NJIT - ACCEPTED
Umass-Amherst - waiting
Penn State- waiting
Stevens- waiting
Stony Brook - waiting

Can you afford all of them?

As a NJ resident NJIT and Rutgers are very affordable. Stony Brook is very affordable for an out of state school. The rest are on the high end but affordable, the one school that is totally out of my price range is Stevens

Honors college at Pitt? That would make a difference, IMO.

Although Stevens in a great school, I wouldn’t recommend it, since it’s unaffordable. You don’t want to graduate nearly $200,in 000 debt.

More students receive aid at NJIT than at Rutgers.

NJIT is gaining popularity, but I’ve heard it’s definitely not a “social school”. Rutgers is generally ranked better.
