CSF vs UCI vs UCR for undergrad business

Hello. I’m in a community college right now getting transfer to a university hopefully in fall 2017. I’m interested in business administration/management. I have heard that CSF generally has a very good reputation in business major, but I know I can make it to UCI or UCR. Now that it comes to prestige. People say if I can get to a UC, then why bother thinking about CSU?
Also, money is another factor for me.
What do you guys think? Should I choose UC or CSF? And if it’s UC, then which of the two is better?

I think you need to Apply to all and see where you are accepted before trying to decide which school is better. Both UCI and UCR are tough admits for Business Admin and UCI had around a 3-4% admit rate for transfers.

Here is a link which shows UC transfer GPA’s by campus and major to see how you compare. CSUF is a great option especially if finances are an issue. You might want to add SDSU and Cal Poly Pomona to your application list.

Good Luck.

What is your GPA and have you applied for a TAG to a UC?

My GPA is 4.0, and I have not applied for TAG. Could you explain more about TAG?

Here is the TAG matrix for all 6 UC campuses that accept TAG. http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/guarantee/

Basically if you meet the course pre-requisites and minimum GPA along with having 30 semester/45 quarter units currently from a California CCC, you can apply for TAG. You can only TAG to one UC, but are allowed to apply to the other UC’s as a regular applicant. Unfortunately you have to file for TAG by Sept 30 of this year, so you have missed the filing period for Fall 2017. Surprised that your CCC never mentioned TAG to you.

With your GPA, you would be guaranteed admission to UCI or UCR.
