CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE

How long does this take to be sent to the University of Chicago? I hadn't thought of it before I'm applying EA, and I'm afraid it might not get there in time. I mean, I plan on submitting it before the November 1, but will Collegeboard send it in time?

Oh geez.

Not sure. I filled mine out today--I'm sure you're not the only one who didn't consider the time it takes to send that. It'll be okay. :)

Just keep slogging along on it! May sure your Chicago paperwork meets the deadline, and that the fafsa / css are submitted and in process.

I'm in the same situation. I plan on filling it out tonight. But the CSS Profile is electronically submitted right? so wouldn't Chicago get it immediately?

yea, i'm 99% sure they'll get it within 24 hours...

There is a one week lag on Profile from the time you submit - at least there was 3 years ago. I am sure a lot of people make a mistake with this. Make sure it is submitted, and that you have all the Chicago paperwork in.

Wait, so if I don't get my CSS profile in by today do they just toss out my financial aid consideration?

Honestly, Chicago is probably the most difficult school I've had to apply for. Even my mom was like, "Well who would put any number other than zero." I understand they will see when they get taxes, but then why ask us this question about things like how much we think we can pay. You are going to tell us anyway so ***.

I believe you would find this requirement, to submit your CSS profile with your early application, at any private school. The reason that they need it is so that they can give you a financial aid estimate with your acceptance. I would urgre you to be as accurate as possible in completing this form because, for most, an accurate aid estimate is a very important component of the overall decision to attend the school.

Well the thing is like UMiami doesn't ask for it, neither does Penn State or USC AFAIK, but USC's deadline is the 10th of december.

Then that means that they don't give you a financial aid estimate with your early acceptance. Without the information, how could they?

Are you allowed to alter something minor? I already submitted it, but I accidently put a really old vehicle that we used to on but just sold

I just called office of college aid, and they said it'd be fine if you submit CSS today or yesterday, bc. they'll still be able to check that you completed it.
