I just submitted my CSS profile this past weekend. I filled in some parts and looked over the final result, but, for the most part, my dad filled it in for me since I don't really know my family's financial info (obviously). He made a mistake, though, because I just got an email from UChicago, since I applied early action, saying that I reported that I am the beneficiary to a trust. This is very much UNTRUE, lol. The email said that I need to submit a signed statement about the value of the trust, who established it, etc, which is clearly impossible to do for my NONEXISTENT trust. My issue is that I already submitted this profile to like at least 10-ish of the colleges that I'm applying to. I don't think I can edit my CSS profile, though. Does anyone know how to repair this mistake??

I would call UChicago and ask them what to do specifically. They may give you another form to fill out or be able to somehow reset CSS for you. Anyhow almost all admissions offices are very helpful if you call them!

If that doesn’t work out, send them a personal letter explaining the situation instead of sending the trust stuff.
