This won't be up for another half a month but I have several questions for people who have filled it out in the past since I have no idea what it's like. I have a single parent and I do not know my father. What do I do about this? Is there anything specific I have to fill out for this? I don't think the Noncustodial Parent Profile would apply to me since I don't have contact info? It's a bit complicated in college apps too. I'm new to this since my sister didn't need the CSS for UC schools. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know the answer, but may I suggest emailing the College Board your questions? I did this about six months ago with some questions of my own about a nuance of Profile, and I got prompt and informed answers.

You should contact the college(s) directly who are asking for the Noncustodial Profile and ask them about a waiver process. For instance, at my institution we have a waiver form which we ask students to complete which provides information about last contact, support, etc. We also ask for a third-party letter of support for the waiver, and then we consider these on an individual basis. Your case sounds like an easy one to waive, but call the individual colleges themselves.

Thanks! I'll do that.
