Yeah I do, and I emailed them and they never got back to me. I don’t know if its going to affect anything.
It takes a while for the scores to reach them I believe. When did you send them?
@shaswizzle November 12th
You should call admissions. I sent mine later than you did and mine got deleted from my to-do list. Call them just in case!
ok thanks for the update
I called an admission officer and she told me they are going to download the sat scores this Friday. WHY THE PROCRASTINATION??!?
OMG why are they doing this to us lol
Have you guys sent the 7th semester transcripts
@kimmmberly123 My son hasn’t sent his 7th semester transcript because his 7th semester is still ongoing. My understanding is that CSUF won’t make an admissions decision without the 7th semester transcript unless all A-G requirements were met during 9th-11th grade.
@kimmmberly123 not yet! grades at my school have not been finalized so im going to have to wait till a week or two. if you know your school has finalized your grades, send them as soon as you can. if you send them through parchment, be sure you include 7th semester grades.
did you guys file for FAFSA? and if so, does your info show up in the financial aid section of your portal? San Jose state has my FAFSA info, but fullerton does not so im worried that they may not have received it…
You do not need to send in your transcripts before admission. Many people are accepted before the transcripts are received. Per CSUF Portal:
"Freshmen: Please send an official high school transcript which includes the grades from your first semester or term of your senior year. The deadline to submit your 7th semester transcript is March 28, 2018. We destroy those sent too early.
When the transcript is received, it will no longer show up on your To Do List.
If you have already graduated from high school, the need for this transcript will be removed once we receive the final transcript.
If you submit the transcript through Parchment, be very careful when ordering the transcript so that it includes the 7th semester grades. Do not put your own email on the request page."
@OCDDad Per the CSUF website, students who have not completed their A-G coursework will not be admitted in December or January if their “To Do List” requires a 7th semester transcript:
“CSUF is an impacted campus and determines the admissibility of an applicant using an eligibility index and college prep coursework completed in high school. For you to be admitted before February, you must have already completed these minimum coursework requirements by the end of the junior year (see below) with a “C-” or better as well as meet the qualifying eligibility index. If any of these required courses is in progress during the senior year, you will need to submit a high school transcript after the first semester senior year (7th semester) grades are posted.”
“Have your school send official transcripts only after your first semester grades are posted and only if ‘7th Sem High School Trans’ is on your ‘To Do List’ in your Student Center. Allow four weeks from the time you request a transcript for us to receive it and receipt it. Do not send or fax us an additional copy during this time.”
“SUBMIT 7th semester transcripts to be received no later than March 28, 2018”
@ForumGuy. I just called CSUF and confirmed they want my son to send his transcripts. Thanks
@ForumGuy I thought u were crazy so I went and checked out the Fullerton first time freshman guide. It claims they are calculating GPA using 10-12th! Bluffing? Typo? What is the deal with this school? I think they’re trying to fool everyone into believing they are the next Cal Poly or SDSU. Oh brother. I apologize for doubting you, @ForumGuy.
@CopperlineX2. I can’t believe it, but you are right. The guide is here. http://admissions.fullerton.edu/resources/forms/FTF_Guide.pdf
" High School GPA is calculated using only the grades from A-G courses in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades."
I also checked the CSUF section on Eligibility Index. http://admissions.fullerton.edu/prospectivestudent/eligibilityIndex.php
“The GPA’s listed above are calculated based on grades earned in all approved college preparatory (A-G) courses taken after grade 9. Bonus points may be awarded for up to eight grades of C or better in approved honors courses taken in grades 10 to 12, including up to two (2) International Baccalaureate (IB) or Advanced Placement (AP), or honors courses taken in tenth grade.”
I am pretty certain that this is a change in policy.
Wow that definitely changes things up. I definitely slipped up senior year. My eligibility index dropped from a 4192 to a 4102. Omg I’m scared. Nooooooo
A bit of a drag that it lowers GPA for those who are well past the 8 bonus points for AP courses. It will mostly hurt non locals and those with lackluster test scores, I suppose.
@kbutter1234 I think you will be fine as long as you aren’t trying to get into nursing or accounting.
@Gumbymom posted on SDSU thread that old CSUmentor site always said 10-12 for GPA calculation. We may be tripping out over nothing.
