Im in my second semester of college. i recently dicovered i failed anatomy and physiology 1. I know thats a very important class and one of the prerequisities for nursing school. During my first semester i got good grades. I was wondering, i know this looks bad on my appliction, but what are the chances i will get into CSUF… i appreicate all responses, thank you
PS. I attend CSULA as of now
With 2 F’s, your chances are very low. The acceptance rate as a transfer applicant are already low. Do you plan to retake the courses since you would not qualify to apply?
From the CSUF Nursing Website:
All prerequisite courses must be completed with a minimum overall GPA of 3.25. You must earn a “B-” or higher in each science prerequisite course. You must earn a “C” or higher in each non-science prerequisite course.Courses do not expire.
@Gumbymom not that it makes much of a difference but its only one fail (D). and yes, i do plan to retake the course as it is a prereq for nursing programs everywhere
Sorry, when I read your post I thought that Anatomy and Physiology were 2 separate classes. Until you repeat the course, you should not be applying to any Nursing programs since you need to meet the minimum grade requirements. Your chances are moot until you complete the course with a passing grade.
