@vvbrose congratulations!! I have the same hold as you. I actually was off yesterday morning and stopped by Admissions & Records to inquire what’s up with that hold. I called on Monday and they confirmed they have all of my official (and unofficial) transcripts… I mailed them all back in August, right after applying. Since all but 9 credits are from an out of state degree for me, even though I got in, I’m still freaking nervous. LOL.
So basically asked yesterday something along the lines of: “what if, during evaluation, you guys find that i.e. my math class isn’t up to par for the golden 4? Or something like that? Or what if 25 of my credits aren’t deemed applicable? Is my admission going to be revoked?” and he laughed and said “well, there is people evaluating applications beforehand, so someone already went over your transcripts. So you should be fine.” So hopefully that hold is gone soon. I’m nervous to see what stuff transfers.
I was supposed to move to the Lancaster area last year and had been accepted to CSUB, but the move didn’t end up happening, so I didn’t end up going. But I saw their transcript evaluation of my out of state classes and almost all credits were accepted, spare a couple of stray electives I had taken (i.e. a 1-credit class that was basically “College 101”).
Good to know re: the holds. I also mailed off my transcripts right when I applied (8/2) so I was wondering why they requested them again. I ordered more to be sent directly to me and I thought about taking them down there once I get them and hand deliver them. Will see what happens in the next week or two with my account. Do you know if they take electronic transcripts from a system called Parchment? All of my previous CC’s and universities use this to send electronic transcripts and I am not sure if CSUF will accept them that way.
I will give them a call next week too just to check if they actually have them. My portal has it listed in my to-do’s to re: transcripts and this is what it says:
“Initiated means we need this item or we have not yet processed one that has been sent. Allow 4 weeks for us to process the item from the time it was sent.”
That’s funny you mention CSUB. I went there for one semester and didn’t like it. The class was great and met some great people but the degree I was pursuing wasn’t for me. CSUF offered what I wanted and its a great campus so I am very excited.
I FINALLY GOT MY ACCEPTANCE!!! I’m literally about to go to dinner with my family and checked my portal and bursted into tears. All this waiting finally paid off!! Congrats to everyone else who got in and best of luck to those who are still waiting!! If anyone is moving out to Fullerton i would love to get in contact with you!
Good evening everyone, I also got accepted earlier today! I am super stoked, was getting pretty nervous there. Nothing in my to do list, but it does mention I will have to verify my credentials.
Also, I remember someone mentioning after they accepted CSUF’s offer the info was from the previous fall orientation, has anyone gotten info on that? Thanks in advance.

hi I’ve been looking at this forum for a week or two now (this is my first post) and I’m starting to really get stressed out that so many people have already been accepted and I haven’t. I really hope I hear back from them by the end of the week
