CSUF Transfer Students Fall 2019

@themightyeagle according to this link I believe so. https://www.calstate.edu/sas/documents/impactedprogramsmatrix.pdf

@themightyeagle I think the Kinesiology dept is really impacted because I remember hearing during the CSUF campus tour they top ranked in that department.

And in regards to the local service areas. Each campus has different local eligibilty as far as I know. Because when I checked out the website of CSUF, it says that students are considered local based on CC. While CSULB considers a student local based on HS graduation and that is due to the “Long Beach Promise” thing that their city council enacted for their residents.

@adreezybones @C105213 Okay I see, thanks for explaining. I just don’t understand why I see non-locals with a lower gpa than mine get accepted or waitlisted and I get denied, even if both our programs are impacted, but I guess it is what it is. Do you think I should submit an appeal or would it be a waste of time?

@themightyeagle I’m not sure how many classes/prerequisites required for the major that you have completed vs. others who got waitlisted and also the grades you received in major required courses vs. others. So that may have been a factor.

Like all my golden 4’s are Bs even some GE classes too, but ALL my art classes are As

anyone have the tax filing paper on their to do?

@adreezybones I currently have 74 credits completed, 3 A’s in the golden courses and one in progress. My major prerequisite are all A’s and one B. The rest of my GE consists of mostly A’s and B’s with a couple of C’s. I’m pretty much beyond completed, just taking honors classes this semester to get honors certified at my CC

Same here! Have you heard if this effects our admission decision?

@lulu1115 I do, just gotta fill out the papers attached on to do list and turn it into financial aid office

Sorry for the late response. I not planning on getting an associate or finishing IGETC before I transfer. I’m assuming I found out faster because I’m local. Good Luck!!
