CSUF Transfer Students Fall 2019

I got rejected to CSUF. But it’s fine I was leaning more towards CSULB so that’s where I will be attending fall 2019  Good luck to everyone else.

Hi, does anyone know if csuf does on campus transfer student housing?

Rejected yesterday :frowning:

Psychology major
3.3 gpa
not local; transfer student
AAT COMPLETED
Golden Four completed

Hi everyone update,
I got accepted to both SDSU and CSULB and still waitlisted for fullerton.

I was rejected two weeks ago. However the reasoning given to me was that my gpa was under 2.0, which is a mistake. Everyone make sure you read your decision emails to make sure they didn’t make a mistake for yours as well.

Hopefully my appeal goes well. Lol

Hi! I got rejected as well and they told me my GPA does not meet their admission requirements for a Local Transfer applicant. Did you get the same message? I’m well above a 2.0 GPA & also appealing

Yup. Same message. There must have been some big screw-up with admissions. When I called to ask about it they didn’t seem surprised at all. lol

I am currently in a dilemma. I have been accepted to all three schools (CSUF, CSULB, CPP) as a transfer student majoring in Business Administration emphasis in Supply Chain Management. In my opinion, there are pros and cons to all three schools. First, CSULB seems to be the most social and most popular overall of the three. Also, it seems to be the hardest to get into because it has the lowest acceptance rate out of the three schools. In addition, I have a few friends there and was thinking about getting an apartment with them. Second, CSUF seems to be the most reputable out of all three for business (not too sure about supply chain management though?). I have heard good things about the connections CSUF has with the OC area. Lastly, CPP seems to be the least reputable of the three but I have researched their program (Technology and Operations Management) and on their website they seem to offer many resources, such as clubs and labs. HELP!! I need to commit soon. Any feedback would be great. Thanks in advance!

Wow that’s crazy. If you don’t mind me asking what did they tell you when you called? What’s weird to me is I was waitlisted for spring semester then just straight up denied for fall

I got waitlisted a week ago, and recently two days ago they put a hold on me. Asking for proof of my 4 golden four by spring. I am doing stats right now. But I’m supprised I have a hold considering I got waitlisted. Anyone familiar with this?

@SexyAZn7 Im in the same dilemma as you. I am trying to choose between CSULB and CSUF since I was wait listed to SDSU. As of right now im leaning more toward CSUF due to their OC connections but it depends if I like the school on visit CSUF day! Let me know if you make a decision

@busfinance Nice! Those are all good schools. I did not apply to SDSU as I knew that I would be going to school nearby since I live in the LA County. I am going to visit CSUF next week and hopefully get a feel of what it’s like there. I will also attempt to talk to a business advisor there as well. I have toured CSULB and the campus was very nice. Are you a supply chain major as well? I’m assuming you are a finance major based on your username. Let me know where you go as well!

@jazzyfizzleee When I called they told me that Since my application was already in the ‘deny’ status that I would have to appeal the decision. At least it seems like a very straightforward thing to appeal. lol

I always thought Spring was supposed to be more difficult to get accepted for, so that is pretty weird. Hopefully they fix the mistake for you asap.

Did anyone actually get a Financial Aid Package already?

@adreezybones nope, mine still says “no finnicial awards” ?

@Gg1503 I just checked mine literally just now and looks like they came in. Check yours

@adreezybones thank you so much! I got it too!

Accepted as a Mechanical Engineering major. I love CSUF. I live 10 minutes away from it and I’m always on campus.

@Geanes did you hear anything back from
your appeal?

@jazzyfizzleee I was about to ask the same thing. lol

I have not. I called 3 weeks after submitting it to make sure they had received it and everything was set. The lady on the phone told me that it takes 3-4 weeks to process, then changed her statement and said it should take about 4-6 weeks. It will be 6 weeks as of next Tuesday, so I’m planning on calling then if I haven’t heard back yet.

You haven’t heard back either?
