CSUF, which concentration?

hey guys, im gonna be txing to CSUF in the fall hopefully and ill be majoring in Business Admin. I cant really decide on a concentration though. i accounting, information systems, management, and finance, maybe even marketing. i like all aspects of business and cant decide on just one. so i guess my question is, which one did YOU pick and why?

could be any cal state or uc or any school for that matter.

Which concentration will get you a higher paying job upon graduation?

accounting vs finance vs marketing vs management vs information systems.

I have 4 years of sales experience in the tech industry which will only increase to 6 once im done with my degree.

which direction would you guys recommend i go in? based on the experience i have?

i do enjoy my job in sales, but i feel like id rather be behind the scenes instead. thats why i like accounting/information systems. i like finanace cuz it seems like the highest potential earnings, and i like management cuz who doesnt like being the one in charge? lol but realistically becuz i find myself to be a very organized person who enjoys tackling projects, leading the way, assigning tasks, and following up with progress, also taking blame for what sucks and what went wrong.

i would rather work in the "back" so to speak , away from customers, but i still want to get paid very well and possibly reap some of the bonus rewards as well. do positions like this exist? bonuses for non-sales employees?

also, if i go accounting, i do plan on becoming a CPA.
if i go any other route, i do plan on getting my MBA. (just in case you were wondering about my future plans/goals)

any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated fellow students/cpa's/business men/women/etc!

my apologies for writing so much. :)

Take a look at your school’s job placements for recent grads. From all the lists I’ve seen, which doesn’t include Fullerton’s, CSU’s tend to place best into accounting jobs and those jobs look to carry the highest starting salaries of any business major.

i was looking for that info but couldnt find much. maybe im not googling the right thing.

what did you search for? ill try again.

also thanks for the good info!

1 vote for accounting.

i’ve heard the same from alot of ppl, and also i found a Yahoo list of the least stressful jobs and Accountant was No. 1 least stressful. They say becuz as long as your books are balanced at work, you dont have to worry about it when ur at home. whereas many other positions in business tend to take their work with them, all the time.

anyone else? the opinions are much appreciated!

hassib, I agree with hmom. Goto the college’s career center webpage to see if it posts there. If not, you can call them. Most colleges have these info, but not necessarily available on-line.

will try giving them a call tomo and see how that goes. hopefully they have all the info ready to go, lol. that would be perfect!

i got some good info, plus i found this.

[Alumni Surveys](http://campusapps2.fullerton.edu/career/alumni/alumnisurvey.aspx)
