were any of your guys’ financial aid package revised?

example: on the view financial aid tab for 2011/2012 i am shown …

pell grant
State uni. grant
subsidized loan
unsub loan

because my EFC is 0 i get a “full coverage” through loans but when i click accept / decline aid package it says award access for this year not available etc etc.

do you think i’m elligible for cal grant a/b? (I applied for fin aid and got it 3 years ago but for the next 2 years i didn’t apply for fafsa so there is a gap) So were any of your aid packages revised while this intermediary wait happened?

so i’ve accepted my awards and disbursement is on the 19th … but do i “pay now” or do i just let it sit idly since i’m awaiting for disbursement.

i looked at financial aid deferment but I don’t think there’s a link available that says ‘defer me please’

i’m sittign idly. since i know my aid will cover amount due. and it even says you cant wait for your aid to clear if its going to clear your costs

Do anyone know if getting accepted as a transfer student anymore difficult than a hs graduate? If so, what is an average gpa to be accepted and I will be majoring in business if that makes any difference.

I feel high school cirriculum is easier but harder (childish mentality; young blood status) whereas cc allows you for more or less a second shot or opportunity at a better university.

You just have to work hard or get good grades and you’ll transfer in somewhere decent. I’ve honestly seen some less-intelligent beings transferring into more prestigious unis based on their performance in cc as opposed to hs.

transfer work does intensify though because cc does seem to dilute quite a bit (more often than not)

I don’t remember ever stressing so much about school transitions. I don’t even remember if I was this nervous going to high school, lol. I thought I was pretty calm about going to college, but I’m starting to get jumpy. I just had a nightmare of getting lost @ csulb, and it involves Draco Malfoy O_O. This is weird because I’m somewhat familiar with csulb’s building locations(minus engineer because I have no classes there). How early should I show up at csulb? It takes me about 1/2 an hour to drive there and about an hour to get ready for school.

During the first week of school, parking is CRAZY and a complete hassle. Id’ say to come at least 45 minutes ahead of the time your first class starts.

Draco was making students pay him money for a textbook(ppl thought they had to buy the textbook, but it actually wasn’t needed, lol). After paying for the textbook, you have to duel him. Yeah, completely random. Makes no sense whatsoever. I lost :/.

I want to wish you all an amazing first day of school! I enjoyed talking to all of you and I hope I was able to help even if a little bit. Don’t forget to stop by when all the new incoming HS and CC applicants start asking questions on CSULB’s CC forum! GO BEACH!
