I'm going to be a freshman in the Fall of 2011 at CSU Long Beach.
I want to major in Film & Electronic Arts; and I know that it is very competitive.
I was advised to apply as "undeclared."

My GPA is 3.4, and my SAT score is 1710.

Would it be wise to submit my admission response as having an "undeclared" major, and then change my major? Will that higher my chances?
Or should I simply announce my interest in the major once I submit registration? Won't that put me in "pre-film"?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Also, if anyone is a current CSULB student,
I'd also like to know your opinion on the school and your experience there.
