anything new or we’re all waiting
I’m still waiting for my official acceptance. Hopefully they send it out soon I hate the waiting.
Did anyone apply for housing if so what’s the probability of getting it?
I just got my SOAR confirmation email for January 7th. I really want to explore the “Degree Planner”, but I am not seeing it in my student center still…
Update: Called and they said that it’ll appear after SOAR. Kinda bummed that I can’t really check out what I will be taking.
@RichardBIV Degree planner isn’t the most accurate, there’s mistakes sometimes. Go to “my academics” (2 below degree planner) and then click “view my academic requirements”. That gives you a list of every class you need to take before graduating and it shows what you’ve completed, what you’re taking now/the classes you signed up for, and what you need to take in the future.
@rb8991 Where can I find “my academics”?
@rb8991 “my academics” doesn’t show until later that’s what’ve been told
@Hehwasez it’s on student center and the 4th or 5th option down on the left side of the page.
@anyoneelse that’s weird, I think it showed up for me a couple weeks before I attended SOAR.
@rb8991 yeah it’s weird cuz I thought so too
It seems that it’s dead time until some students get the scores from GWAR testing from November in a few weeks and online pre SOAR opening up on the 10th of December. Just wanted to wish everybody happy almost thanksgiving!
Is anyone still on the waitlist?
PS: As I wrote this, I logged into my CSULB portal particularly student center and I have many extra things that popped up including degree planner and enrollment, advisor, and that I can enroll after the 1st of January. Check your portals if you’re seeing any updates
I have just seen under my academic requirements that my major preparation courses I had completed was marked requirement not met. Was wondering did that happen to anyone else?
@celinal12 check again. I got an email today informing me that my transfer credit has been processed.
It’s pretty confusing I can tell you that, but from the looks of it everything was covered. Will be going to Long Beach though next week to talk to counselor about building a schedule as I am seeing way too many classes than I thought I’ll need to take.
Approximately 15 units every semester for the next 2 years, but it’s not including summers or winters of course (only spring and fall), taking a course of two over the summer will help out. It’s Douala, but I am wondering about the 5 electives I am seeing to take
@RichardBIV the electives are correct. Transfers have to take a few electives once starting at CSULB. You have to take 2 capstone (one being a writing intensive, which is what you took GWAR for), along with a global issues and a human diversity class. They’re really easy classes though, so it’s nothing to worry about.
I was able to view my degree planner today , after they sent the email saying my credits have been reviewed .
Does anyone know why my gpa for transfer credits is lower for csulb than whats reported of transcripts for my jc ???
@Nesshaaaa probably because some of the classes you got A’s in don’t transfer over to CSULB.
Hey @RichardBIV, How were you able to speak to a counselor? I’ve tried numerous times to speak with a counselor but the people through the phone just told me to wait until SOAR. They said I would not be able to talk to a counselor since I’m not enrolled in classes…?
@itsjamesshun you can schedule an appointment with a transfer advisor through mycsulb or you can just call and tell them that you want to speak with an academic/transfer advisor… the appointment is much better tho
@itsjamesshun Just as @anyoneelse said, yo I can schedule an appointment through your mycsulb. Make sure you have some more questions though like not just 1 because otherwise that’ll be quick.
How’s everybody doing? Anything new
you guys are your fall 18 courses visible on the transfer credit report???
