Hi, I am a Music major currently in a community college finishing all my GE requirements and my Major preparation in music. Upon completing my requirements, these are the 3 CSU schools that i chose to transfer where i shall obtain my Bachelors in music. Reason why is, because I want to become a Music teacher in the Bay Area (absolutely love the place)
I couldnt find any infos regarding Music Education with those 3 CSUs I mentioned (SacStae, San Jose State, East bay). So for any music education major here who had experience with those 3 schools, or other bay area schools close by, please give me an input, thank you very much.
Without your GPA i may be steering you the wrong direction but, I’d apply to all 3, and add Sonoma just to round things out. More options are better.- and there could be an audition (you’ll need to confirm that) which are always a wild card.
Funny enough, the Sac Bee just had an article about recent changes at Sac State’s Music program.

Thank you for replying back NCalRent (: my current school GPA is 3.33. And yes there is audition required, next year after applying to schools, I will be visiting all the CSUs mentioned and do my auditions. I will also visit Sonoma State upon your recommendation.
