How culturally diverse is the student body? do white, black, hispanic, asians kids sit at dif. tables during lunch?

No, everyone is intermixed. I mean some ppl feel more comfortable sitting with people of their own ethnic background, but alot of ppl are willing to branch out.

Just out of curiosity, since they're all on my list: On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most preppy-whitebread, how would you rate these schools: Bowdoin, Williams, Amherst, Wesleyan, Haverford?

do keep in mind that a culturally homogenous student body may appear more diverse than it is by being "counter cultural." diversity in fashion is rarely, however, a signal of legitimate cultural diversity.

to answer your question, amherst has the most diverse student body racially.

also: larger schools may have a smaller proportion of diverse students but a larger sense of diversity on campus by sheer number. wesleyan, because it's larger, may seem more diverse than other schools with a greater percentage of minority students because it is a larger student body. i know it's rather important to have a critical mass of any minority population.
