@Snorlee got into Hunter this morning, which is pretty weird since it’s a Saturday lol
Now anxiously waiting for Baruch and City :’(
@Mdelga11 what time did you get the email? And what day did you apply?
@Mdelga11 see, congratulations!!! did you get invited to the app yet. It’s a place where the incoming freshman could talk to each other and the admission counselors
@IsbahQas they are still sending their decisions out
I got into Hunter with a 69 average and 1200 (Reading and Math) (520 for reading and 680 for math) and got an invitation letter today
@isaih908 I got the email at 7:08 and applied mid November, I don’t remember the day exactly.
@ariestc Thanks! And yes I did get invited. It seems kind of cool
Guys all the cunys are rolling decisions based so they will all come out in different waves, some earlier than others at what seems to be at random.
Does queens college send decisions by email?
I read that they send rejections by email.
I got a letter in the mail today with my appointment to take the Cuny assessment test, and the letter also said I should have received admissions decisions from all of them. But as of today I am still waiting on Hunter and Baruch.
I got an email this morning from hunter inviting me to join a group with “other admitted students” but the thing is, i never got an acceptance letter from them.
@confusedsenior1 same. I’m getting all these emails/the Facebook accepted students invite that suggests I was accepted,but haven’t gotten an official letter. I’m assuming I was accepted,but I’m going to call them on Monday.
@Tookme10mins which college?
@isaih908 Hunter
:0 hello! @Tookme10mins
@Mdelga11 your gpa is higher than mine and your score is slighty lower (1250) I think you should have been admitted already !
also I dont think it matters when you apply as my applications went in a few days before the deadline and I received acceptances during the first rounds of admissions (first and second week of february ) …
Overall the acceptances are coming out random, and if you haven’t been blatantly rejected then that means you’re still in the pool of people still waiting to be notified of their acceptance or rejections. So don’t worry if you haven’t heard from any of the CUNYs yet.
@confusedsenior1 me too. So idk how I feel about it. What if theyre like “oh wait jk”. Im scared, maybe sometime throughout the week, we’ll get it.
Theres the issue of that, also we need our hunter portal login details too to sign up for orientation and stuff @hellanxious @Tookme10mins
@confusedsenior1 I believe you can sign up by using the reset password button and the email hunter communicates to you with.
So as time keeps on and I still hear nothing, I can’t help but wonder if my grades & SAT score will be my downfall, byt then again I could just be overthinking it.
GPA: unweighted 79, weighted 83 for first three years (grades went down for senior year but took more advanced classes, two AP’s and a SUPA)
SAT CR+M: 990
I sent in my essay to all I applied to (Queens, Baruch, City College, Hunter, Brooklyn, BMCC).
I have some great extracurriculars and an awesome set of writing skills that I hope they see with my essay, but I have no idea whether those CUNY’s put the emphasis on grades vs extracurriculars and essay, and it is starting to worry me since I was recently rejected from one of my top choices.
If you have similar stats and have already heard back, care to share?
