@BlueBeans32 I checked. Nothing there I want to call CUNY again but they’ll probably just tell me my app is still under review which is very annoying!!! I applied to City, Queens, Baruch, Lehman, Hunter and BMCC. I have a 89 GPA and 1120 CR+M
I agree, calling CUNY and/or logging into their portal is one of the most annoying things because they never update or give you any useful information!
If the hotline says an “x” school admission is complete. That is likely to be your designated school.
Did anyone receive anything after the status has been updated to “college(s) have made decisions” I call CUNY hotline almost everyday and its same “your application is complete, and is currently under review”
@SpartanFC I noticed my portal changed about three weeks ago and I finally heard back from my last school today. Even when I would call it would still say under review, even though my portal said decisions had been made. I applied through Macaulay and finished my applications all the way back in November so it takes awhile. Just try to wait patiently, good luck!
@SpartanFC The same thing is happening to me and I’m getting so anxious!!! I haven’t tried calling today but I’m sure it’ll just tell me my application is under review.
@Mdelga11 well for me I first got an email saying I was accepted to a school and then a week and a half later I received the official acceptance/decision letter in the mail(CUNY Queens just sent me a decision notification through email though)
I got an email from Lehman and hoped for an acceptance. I was wrong. It’s an invitation for a “Specialized Information Session.”
I got the same thing! But I already got my letter and I got denied. I will be appealing and hopefully something nice comes out of that.
FINALLY got accepted into a CUNY. Takes off lots of stress.
Yup, it seems like I’ve been waiting forever because I applied in September but I finally got an email admitting me to Queens.
Now that I finally got in, I need all of your opinions. Is Computer Science at Queens College a good fit? I want to stay debt free for ugrad study, which is why I strongly want a CUNY.
Attend Queens College until you have over 30 credits. Transfer to City College if you want to stay inside the CUNY system. City College has a great computer science, and engineering programs. There are professors that are connected to reputable businesses that may recommended you if you work hard. Those professor recommendations will help land you to a great technical profession at top IT companies.
Use the abundant resources of NYC in your college years as an advantage. Students who attend colleges in more rural areas are practically at a disadvantage when it comes to internships and etc, because of the remote locations. You have CUNY students attending jobs at well known governmental, and private institutions like the Federal Reserve, Chase, and etc. That is because of the geographical advantage that CUNY colleges have of being located in one of the most wealthiest cities in the world.
I’d really like City College, but I haven’t sent the Supplemental Application for the Grove School of Engineering which I recently found out about. I will try to send it this week. Hopefully rolling admissions doesn’t mean automatic rejection for me
Has anyone heard back from John Jay by any chance?
I submitted my application in early January and my transcripts were sent in early February. I’m a polytechnic student from Singapore by the way. I must say that the application and interface were very confusing. i sent an email to the admissions office to ask them to check if they had received my transcripts, because the postal tracking says that it has been delivered, and i got an email back just saying that they update it in 6-8 weeks. Does it really need to take that long? And they don’t even pick up the phone when i try to call. So I am completely lost and have no idea what to do. I just have to hope that the Ivys I also applied to accept me, if all fails with CUNY
I applied to John Jay as a transfer for the fall 2016, but I would probably be a freshman because I’m switching to a totally different major since I’m coming from an art school and I got a weird email from them today saying

The online portal and hotline said my application is completed and under review, so I’m not sure if this email means I got accepted or not because I know transfers aren’t suppose to find out till april and in the email it never said that I am accepted for the Fall 2016 semester so I’m not sure what this email means.
@alexajade17 I got the same email and I never applied.
Hey, so I have an 3.3 gpa and 1070 (550 CR+ 520M), what are my chances of getting into Hunter? Anyone with those stats got in?
@hellanxious hey!! I got in with a 3.3 and a 1050 composite(570 CR, 480 M) so, I think you have a good chance of getting in as well
