CUNY City College of New York... What are my chances?

<p>i am interested in majoring in music or photography. what are my chance to getting in...</p>

<p>FRESHMAN YEAR GPA: 86%</p>

<p>SOPHMORE YEAR GPA: 93% (didnt try very hard freshman year but hope the recognize improvement)</p>

<p>HONORS/AP'S: honors art freshman year, honors art and english sophmore year, honors math english and art junior year.</p>

<p>CHARITIES: 2 week long mission trips, collecting money for juvenile diabetes, cleaning up local park (am planning on doing more this year and senior year)</p>

<p>EXTRA CURRICULARS: Photography club. recycling club, boys lacrosse (planning on getting a job and starting my own club)</p>

<p>I havent taken the SAT's or ACT's yet.</p>

<p>CUNY is not hard to get into. I didn’t even think you had to apply. Pretty sure if you ask to attend, they’ll let you in.</p>

<p>Yes you have to apply to CUNY. Only 38% of applicants are admitted to City College. It certainly is not the most selective college in the country, but somewhat competitive.</p>

<p>I was accepted to City but couldn’t attend. I just reapplyed last week to transfer their.</p>

<p>I don’t chance people, but I don’t think anyone can chance you w/o a junior yr GPA(since that is what is being used) and no SAT/ACT scores.</p>
