I applied to 4 CUNYs (Queens, Brooklyn, Hunter, NYC Technology) on January 2015 as Transfer student (educated outside of the US) for BS in CS. I have completed 3 years of computer science on my previous University (in Ecuador). I have submitted all required documentation and today, I received and email from CUNY admissions saying that they cannot offer me admissions to ALL the colleges I applied. They don’t even say the reason WHY. I think that I have the right to know WHY the cannot offer me admission to CUNY.
Hi there - I know this is an old thread but I thought I’d share my similar experience. I received the same message as you, which I didn’t understand as my stats were much higher than the average accepted student to the schools I applied to. It took many phone calls to finally get an answer - they did not recognize the math course (Behavioral Statistics) I took in my previous college as “adequate”. Perhaps review that you have both an english and math course that they accept as “demonstrating college-level readiness”. In my case, I re-applied for a later semester and submitted my SAT scores this time in place of the math class. I’m not sure if there are placement tests you can take as an international student in place of the SATs, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. Hope this helps.
