Does WashU have dorm curfews? Is there a security gaurd downstairs or how does one get in and out of dorms...are visitors allowed to spend the night?

Thanks

This is college, not prison. There’s nothing like that.

Visitors can spend the night.

I think you’re technically supposed to fill out a visitor form but no one actually does. The way you get in and out of dorms is by swiping in your ID, 24 hours a day.

Ravnz- Tulane actually does that (they required me to give them my id when I was just visiting a friend for half an hour…).

But yeah, OP, there really is no issue like that at WashU.

Ravn- and Notre Dame has rules that you must be out of the opposite sex’s room by certain hours depending on the day.

Southern and religious-affiliated schools, as I have observed by learning of the policies of the schools of my friends, are generally more strict in the leniency of the visitor hours.

Although we cannot extrapolate this to all school, there definitely are schools that are much more strict than others.
