Hi everyone, I am a current freshmen at CMC majoring in Government and Spanish. I am involved in student government, the Democrats of the Claremont Colleges, and the Center for Civic Engagment.
I would be happy to answer any questions anybody has about the school and life here in Claremont! Also if you have any questions about the admissions process feel free to ask!

Hi, what is the social life like @ CMC? Also what types of student clubs are available?

The social life on campus is definitely very fun and inclusive. Because there are not fraternities or sororities on campus everybody hangs out with everybody and there are not exclusive groups or parties that only certain people can get into. People definitely have fun here but there are always alternatives to going out to parties. We have a Student Life Committee that plans dry events every week like game nights or movie showings. Also another really cool thing about CMC is that the school will subsidize student trips. Basically this means that if you get a group of friends together to go to some sort of event or activity CMC will pay for part of it. A couple of weeks ago 5 of my friends and I went to a concert in LA and CMC paid for half of each of our tickets and helped out with transportation. It’s a really great way to get off of campus and explore LA and the areas around campus. As for clubs, there is really any club you could ever imagine. We have clubs that are just CMC students but we also have clubs that are made up of students from all 5 colleges. Also, you can always create your own club if the school doesn’t have something you want. Hope that answers your questions!
