Marian:
I live on west campus now and it's great. Most people like west campus and the only draw back is the slope. The house meal plan isn't restrictive at all. You can eat as many times as you want during the day at any of the dining halls on west campus and you also have 50 meals that you can use on North or at Okenshields. And since you won't be on North a lot expect to only use those meals only at Okenshields. In addition you have either 250 or 500 big red bucks which is what students use most of the time to buy meals during the day.

PRISM:
Each dorm has its own stereotype. All the dorms are fun and Donlon is known to be the most social. Also the workload depends on your major. If you're pre-med or an engineer expect a heavy workload. But for most majors there is a decent (not too much) amount of work during the week unless its prelim time where everyone goes crazy. Also a lot of students do drink on the weekends. alot.

to be fair, the culture here at Cornell is so diverse that drinking doesn't have to be the order of the day. There are still a handful of people who don't drink that much or drink at all for that matter.

statistics say the majority of students don't go out and drink on the weekends.

Yeah, the majority just stays IN and drinks...;) j/k

west campus sucks. do collegetown, seriously. and dont become an RA! i warn u!

i like west campus

in like a year or two west campus is going to rule. I liked it alot (except for the construction that was going on) last year, and the new dorms they are building are quite awesome.

Yeah, I happen to adore West and am considering staying on campus for my senior year...;) believe me, the houses keep us well entertained when we have the time, and it's really nice to be in a social area...whereas not all apartments are going to be overly social.

Hey is housing guaranteed for seniors? I'm thinking of moving out of my loft and back onto campus.

no housing isn't guaranteed for seniors or juniors

hey does anyone know the name of the apartment building behind the 3 main ones across from the bubble tea place?

Hi--I just wanted to know how difficult it would be to transfer from one department within Cornell to another..

Thanks =)

It's not difficult at all, as long as your GPA is decent.

umm.. so its mostly GPA based? why doesnt the Ag school use ITD anyone care to explain?

The architecture program at Cornell is supposed to be the best--

but your saying if I wanted to transfer from Arts and Sciences to Architecture I would be able to if I had the grades?

Arch (not the rest of AAP) is damm near impossible to transfer into from another college.

Arch is kinda the exception

you would have to submit a portfolio and essentially apply as a regular transfer student. They took like 6 students this year (that is, 6 in total from the entire transfer pool)
