Were there any big shocks or suprises for better or worse?

No, there really weren't.

.. the Cornell weather machine. There's a suspiction that such a device exist but it's only turned on for Cornell Days as seen by the bad weather before and after Cornell Days in years past.

bad weather = white all over libe slope = styrofoam cups that didn't make it to a trashcan.

Lehman fired up the weather machine for cornell days again this year. It was 72 and sunny today. Let me repeat that...SEVENTY-TWO DEGREES. And its supposed to be sunny from friday until like next wednesday. Ahh, springtime in ithaca.

oops, i thought cornell days said slope day...man, you can tell what i'm thinking. no, but actually, my cornell day experience was windy and cold. truly beeautifullll today!!!! oh man, i'm wearing the short skirts and revealing clothes again! yay...j/k

it's supposed to be between 30 and 50 for the next few days, which will be a pleasant change from the 80 degree weather of texas.
