current courses

hey!
i am filling out the common app. please tell me what to fill in the "current courses" of academic section? i am not taking any AP classes. so how to tell about the general course load. i am taking physics, chemistry, maths, english & geography!

just fill in physics, chem, math, eng and geography.
they understand that AP isnt integrated into our curriculum.

First off, lemme tell you the purpose of “current courses” section on the common app. It is meant to check senioritis (seniors slacking off). Kids in US can take a heavy course load for freshmen, sophomore and junior years to impress colleges but they can slack off and register for easy A courses in their senior year, therefore a college wants to make sure whether an applicant is studying rigorous courses in his/her senior year (because courses are offered on an yearly basis in US) as the senior year transcripts are not available for colleges to view because admissions process starts early.
ANSWER to your question:
It depends, most of the time, if your school doesn’t follow the “US system”, you’re supposed to leave it blank. They understand that courses are not offered on yearly basis to us, but rather we choose a no. of courses at the beginning of high school and study it at deeper levers in the forthcoming years. Therefore, they’ll know what you’re studying when they look at your 11th grade transcripts because you’ll be studying the same subjects, only at a deeper level.

** senioritis is a slang common in the US. Here’s the Urban Dictionary definition : <a href=“Urban Dictionary: Senioritis”>Urban Dictionary: Senioritis;

don’t leave the place blank…as abhi30196 has mentioned, type the 5 subjects you are taking and select the “full year” option.

Hey @Conscience13, Got any news from Princeton?

thank you for your support. I am just heading for it.
