I'm headed towards my senior year in high school and I want to know what some popular (or unpopular) majors are at USC. My interests are pretty broad, so commenting about any major is fine. Thanks in advance.

business and communications are huge. engineering is pretty big as well. pre-health, pre-pharmacy, etc. (basically all the majors with a "pre-") are big as well. dentistry. architecture.

probably the least liked ones on SC are maybe computational linguistics or geography. i dunno though, obviously there are people who like those majors otherwise they wouldn't be offered.

some classes I enjoyed were sociology, anthropology, and classics (preferably greek and roman civilization) courses. i hated math and econ even though I received some of my higher grades in both of those classes.

Wow, thanks for the info, therevenge. Are those pre-professional emphases classes provided as majors (that's the way I'm reading your post), or are they just guidelines that help students pursue a career down that path?

I think they used to be majors (or at least on the apps I've done you could select pre-business, pre-med, etc.). I'm not sure how it is now. I talked to someone who just recently entered USC and she is already a Business Administration major even though she hasn't completed the prerequisites for that major. Those "pre" emphasis majors usually require you to re-apply to the school. I think they might have changed that since I last applied. A lot of changes were made last semester.
