CURVE for June 2008 SAT

so what do you guys predict the curve for June's SAT will be???? =]

generous plz?

no idea, but i hope -1 on math is 800

in my opinion, that test was easy. but i end up getting 1800s rofl..

so, i believe that the curve wud be from 10-30 points.

How would they curve it? its a stupid question but i just took my first SAT on saturday and i don't know

What score would I get in reading from june with 10 to 12 wrong and no omitted?

670 is a good estimate

12 wrong is probably a 630 or 640.

what about 5 ommited in the Math Section?

depending on the curve and how you did on all the answers you chose,
680-720

what about a 9 wrongs in cr
and 6 wrongs in writing??( when the essay is 10)

Ryan123:
to curve it, they take the amount of right/wrong from all the people who took it and based on the average score, they generate a table to convert the raw score into the out of 800 score you get. if a lot of people did not do well on it, the curve is considered "good" and you can get a higher score with some wrong than you would if you got the same number of questions wrong on an "easy" test.

i think math should be a generous curve, cr might be somewhat good, writing seemed normal.

To the above poster, NO! The scale is pre-determined, they already know before administration which raw score will equal 800, 780, etc etc.

Lol wantivy...it's not pre-determined.

wantivy:
if it was a predetermined scale, it wouldn't be a curve. the whole point of a "curve" is so that the scores from different testing dates are comparable regardless of if the general public found them ridiculously easy or ridiculously hard.

they're not predetermined.

hey guys i took the june 7th SAT and was wondering wat would 6 wrong be on the math setion considering 4 of them were multiple choice and 2 of them were grid-in.

between 200 and 800.

edit: sorry i didn't define if that was inclusive or not..... so just throw this post out.

i would say those 6 wrong would be like 680

The curve for the math better be good. = /

What do ya think -2 on Math and -1 on W with 10 or 11 essay is? Also, will the CR curve be same as May or what?
