Curves on chem, bio, and math ii subject tests?

What is the curve generally like for chemistry, math 2 and biology subject tests. I am aware that the curve is really good for math.

Math- amazing curve. Unless it’s math 1.
Bio- not so good, plus random questions. 800 is possible, but more difficult b/c of higher expectations…?
Chem- not so sure, I don’t think the curve will be really high, but then again, nothing like Bio or US history. I’m not sure though, don’t take my word for it.

Math 2: Pretty good curve like -6=800
Bio: Harsh -1/2=800
Chem: Pretty Decent -5=800

Yeah, the curves are actually better than that I’m pretty sure. Bio you can get 5 wrong and get an 800, or so I heard. And with math, I got more than 6 wrong plus skipped some and still got a 790 on the CB test.

chem - out of 85, raw score can be 82 and u get 800. 72 for 750. 61 for 700.

bio - out of 80, raw score can be 77 and u get 800. 70 for 750. 61 for 700.

math II - out of 50, raw score can be 44 and u get 800. 39 for 750. 35 for 700.

raw score = (number correct) - (0.25 * number wrong) rounded to nearest whole number

Ah really? I got a raw score of 44 on Math II and got 790…meaning 5 wrong. I guess that sucks for me lol. Bad testing date :/

Well this was a practice test for CB. So it might have been easier.

Whoa: Bio curve sucks more than I thought it did. lol Actually, that’s the curve out of Barron’s isn’t it? So again, Idk what the curve really is.

Do you know what the curve for US history is?

Thanks guys. Is the June test date usually bad for curves? What about October?

The curves are the same I think.

I thought chem was like -8 800, -5 800 would really stink for me since i usually get -8s and i thought that was 800

(atleast thats what my PR book has it)

i took it from the college board guide to all subject tests

oh dang…that seems tough 82/85 considering the reallly hard CE section.

82/85 is about as harsh as it gets. 80/85 is probably more accurate for the average test date.

How are these curves determined, because I saw the percentiles one time and the percentiles =/ curves for each test…like the percentiles are different for a 750 on chem than for a 750 on math II.

I’m stunned… I definitely thought -5 was the Bio 800 range. But apparently, it’s like -2 or skip 3 and get 100%. Sucky… I don’t even feel like studying anymore as there’s probably a cap on what I can get.

^yea same here…i dont know why math is -6 when its only 50 questions and chem is -5 when its 85 questions.
