So JHU would be my top choice (no contest) if not for the allegations of a cut-throat atmosphere. My question is this, how true are these rumors? I've heard them A LOT, which is what concerns me. Also, how hard is it to get good grades? Are there a lot of aspiring pre-meds who are simply forced out by the sheer intensity?

Thanks guys. I realize this is a sore topic, but I'd really appreciate some honest feedback.

Thank you, sir. Those threads were very reassuring. I'm pretty convinced- I think there's a very good chance I'll go if I get in.

I think it all depends on your personal attitude. There are plenty of people who sulk about life in general and get stressed out over midterms and really trivial things. There are plenty of others who try to maintain an optimistic, happy attitude about their life and not get affected by a three digit number (aka gpa).
