So I got contacted for an interview and the interviewer asked me to send her a copy of my CV. What would I put on a CV for a college interview? Thanks.

just make a resume.

I know, but I mean, what do I put? Test scores, hobbies, what?

Make a resume similar to the format on the commonapp but expand it. Put your hobbies, extracurriculars etc. with a description of each activity and what leadership position(s), if any, you held in each. Also put down when you participated any how much time you spent on each (hrs./week). You might also want to put down your awards. DO NOT put your academic info like GPA, rank, test scores etc. Interviewers are not supposed to know that information and I believe they are told not to ask about it. Interviews are an assessment of your personality and interests.

Thanks kd5qdf!

hahah I've had such silly experiences with interviews.

ie. whenever I question why I haven't had an interview, an email shows up in my inbox from my interviewer saying when we should meet.

Kd5qdf, my H interviewer asked me all of that information and wrote in down on the H interview form

bdaniels:

Here is what my S put on his resume:
name, address ,phone number, date of birth;
school attending.
AP courses, college courses (if applicable).
He did put down his SAT scores and AP scores
Awards (both school based and non-school based).
Extra-curricular activities (with hours) grouped together by types (eg. community service, academic ECs and competitions, sports; artistic activities, etc...).
Hobbies.

Try to keep everything on one page. Use 11-font if necessary.

uhhhh remember when my resume is 4 pages long.... with 10 point font. :(

If you have a resume past 1 page as a HS student you clearly are missing the general idea of what a resume is (and yes, it's a resume, not a CV/curriculum vitae unless you've been published multiple times and/or are applying to a foreign college). Cut it DOWN!!

in my region they sent us a sort of pre-info sheet and it asked for: test scores, GPA, rank, EC's, hobbies, awards, favorite books, and what we thought our most important achievement was in the past year

mmmm yeah i'm really not going to worry too much about it.
sucksss
