CWRU or University of Washington

So I'm trying to decide between Case Western Reserve and University of Washington. UW is my instate school, and has better tuition, but only by a few thousand dollars after scholarships. At UW I will also still know a few classmates. However, Case Western is a much smaller school, and I think it would be easier to get research opportunities.
I want to probably eventually go to medical school. Right now I am looking at biology related majors, like at CWRU I know that there is a nutritional biochem major that sounds good. However, I like that at UW there are more course offerings, for instance more language courses to choose from. I think that both have fairly heavy work loads? Anyone know how the work load compares to IB diploma? Will either prepare me better than the other?

Side note, I also got into Berkeley, but at this point I think it is probably too expensive, and I have heard very competitive. Although this unrealistic side of me still wants to go because it is such a great school, and I wonder if the education at the other institutions will be equal?
