Cynicism in my essay?

<p>I'm applying to some top-level schools (Yale, Northwestern, etc.) for which I'd like to think I'm fairly qualified based on my test scores. However I don't have any particular aspect that makes me stand out, so I'm hoping my essay will do that. I tried to take a cynical approach to the "mission trip" essay.
