I never even fathomed myself even posting something like this but here goes. I have a high C in my AP Physics B class, but after taking a mandatory final exam, I feel like I might drop down to a D. We are on a 7-point scale.

Would UNC-Chapel HIll rescind my admission based on the fact that I would have 5 other AP classes and receive 1A/4Bs and an Honors Class which is an A and still remain top 25/500 in my class? I also got into the Honors Program and would really like to stay in it when I arrive August 18...

What was your AP Physics grade in your Mid-year report? For example, mine was a B, so I doubt anyone would mind it dropped to a C. A D is dangerous territory even for me, but not certainly lethal.

The best people to answer your question work in admissions at UNC. Call them and ask.

Hopefully you don’t get that D, and if you do then perhaps you’ll still be ok in light of your total record. But if it is an issue, by addressing it now you may have the chance to do something; perhaps take a summer course somewhere, etc. If you wait until they get your transcript this summer then it will be too late for alternatives. Plus, colleges like people that show maturity and face up to problems instead of trying to duck and hope everything blows over.
