D3 softball-no clue...

I'm a high school senior and I play softball. I play for my hs team and a travel team. I play middle infield, third base, and outfield. I'm a pretty good fielder but I don't have the best bat, although I can slap from the left side of the plate and I'm fast. My gpa is a 94-95 but ACTs and SATs aren't very good. I love to play softball but I don't have a lot of experience-I've only been playing for 4 years but I'm very athletic and coachable. I want to play softball in college and im looking at some d3 schools but, I'm not sure if I'm good enough and I'm not sure how to go about contacting coaches, etc. I've played with some girls who went on to play d2 and d3 softball in college but i was probably as good as all of them- I'm a decent judge of my own ability. so my questions are...
1) Realistically, do I have a chance at playing d3 softball in college?
2) is it to late to get in touch with some d3 college coaches?
3) if not, how do I contact them- do I email them, send a letter, call them, or visit the
campus?
4) what do I say when I contact them?

Any answers are appreciated. Thank you!

you can also try highschoolbaseball.com. it’s obviously for baseball but a lot of the same strategies will go into finding a fit, both academically and athletically for softball. There are recruiting tips, how to contact coaches, etc.

what part of the country are you in? Find the type of school first and then start to find a match for softball.
