Dance resume for non-major submitting arts supplement

For the schools that ask:

On a dance resume for a non-major (either for a dance minor or just as a supplement), is it necessary to list height and weight (as well as eye and hair color)? What about attaching a dance pose (say, a full body shot on pointe)? Or should it be a head shot? Or none?

Thanks.

No, height and weight are not necessary (unless the school asks). That is generally more of a ballet concern, as is the full body shot and obviously the pose on pointe. Does the college only offer ballet or has your child only done ballet? My daughter sent a video of a professional performance (choreographed by a member of a major ballet company but a modern piece, barefoot) and a resume with classes, performances, workshops and summer programs etc.

To be sure, nothing wrong with calling the school (s).

Thanks, @compmom . I think I’ll have the student remove the height and weight from resume since she’s now focused on comtemporary dance. She had considered becoming a professional ballerina, and even spent a year in NYC at a well known pre-professional company, but decided she wanted to pursue academics. I think she’s still going to put a few dance poses at the beginning of her solo arts supplement since she has some nice shots.

Nice solution!
