Is this just some sort of practical joke, because we cannot get an actual DARS audit until our coursework is submitted and the admissions officers will not submit our coursework until after we submit our final transcripts (or so it seems) that include Grades for Spring 2012. So how are we supposed to use the DARS system to choose our classes. It seems like some sort of practical joke (on us). Thanks!

As long as you do not D/F any in-progress courses (which may cause other problems like getting admission rescinded), you should be able to figure out which prerequisite courses and major requirements you have fulfilled using [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) for your courses and comparing them with the requirements for your major.

thanks ucbalumnus. i have been doing that, but there is a big banner on my Cal login telling me to get DARS asap. heh. but you are right. the old pen and paper method with assist.org got me this far. thanks for posting! appreciate it.
